Residents of Delhi-NCR experienced a significant weather shift on Thursday as a powerful storm and heavy rain swept through the region, offering relief from the intense heat. The skies were overcast with thick clouds, and the accompanying strong winds and rain created a pleasant atmosphere.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the next two days, indicating the likelihood of rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in certain areas. The department has advised people to stay updated with weather forecasts and be cautious of any sudden changes.

In a related development, the IMD has announced the onset of the southwest monsoon in Kerala, marking the official beginning of the four-month monsoon season in the country. According to the weather department, the monsoon is expected to gradually advance to other regions in the coming days.

Experts suggest that the recent rainfall in Delhi-NCR will lead to a drop in temperatures, providing much-needed respite from the severe heat experienced in recent days.
